Their are many ways to save money when it comes to getting your hair done. You can go to discount chain salons, beauty schools, or you can look for coupons that your local hair salon may offer. All of these can save you  money but their are some things that you must consider.

1. Make sure that the price for shampoo and style is included in the price of the haircut.

2. Ask about the experience that the stylist that you are assigned to has. Even if you are going to a hair school their are certain levels that they are at.

3. Ask if their is a price break when you get cut and color.

4. Instead of constantly getting a full color service check and see how much it would cost to just get a color touch up in between full color services. You can also freshen up your highlights by adding what is called "halo highlights" (a few foils usually on the crown of the head).

5. Ask and see if your hair stylist has a referral program. Many stylists offer free haircuts, 1/2 off  deals, and sometimes free products for referrals.

6. Check out the website for the salon that you intend to go to. Many times their is a discount somewhere on the site.
